The second annual Be Kind 5K will be held to honor the memory and attitude of kindness spread by Rosie Billquist – former employee of UPMC Chautauqua. The event is Saturday June 22 at the Falconer Fire Hall, 115 Davis Street, Falconer, NY 14733. Registration is from 7 to 8:30 a.m. with the timed race beginning at 9 a.m. Registration can be done online at RunSignUp.com or at the administration offices of UPMC Chautauqua. The pre-registration $25 fee includes a commemorative t-shirt. Race day registration is $30 and the t-shirt is not guaranteed. The event is pet friendly – a $5 registration fee for all pets with proof of licensing, name of Veterinarian and proof and date of rabies vaccination.
There will be a basket raffle at the Run / Walk and tax-deductible gifts to WCA Foundation Rosemary Billquist Scholarship Fund will be received.
Proceeds from the race will support the endowed scholarship for UPMC Chautauqua employees through WCA Foundation. The Rosemary Billquist Scholarship Fund assists employees of the hospital who are furthering their education in medical records or transcription training, or continuing education in those fields.
