LINKS Charity Fights Cancer with Community

LINKS Charity has a legacy of strong leadership, support of the LPGA, UPMC Chautauqua and the Jamestown community.  On July 22 and 23 Moon Brook Country Club will host the 28th annual LINKS Charity Golf Tournament for the benefit of treatment of cancer patients at UPMC Chautauqua.

LINKS Charity, established in 1991, was co-founded by Mary Blair and Sondra Anderson. Their commitment and passion along with many benevolent volunteers, including LINKS Charity Executive Directors Allen Short, Brad Van Riper, and Mike Roberts – and corporate sponsors Truck-Lite and UPMC Chautauqua – has contributed more than $1.5 million to local cancer care efforts. In recent years, this has included the advancement of medical care and treatment of individuals diagnosed with cancer at UPMC Chautauqua through assistance in the purchase of a linear accelerator in the UPMC Chautauqua Cancer Treatment Center, Computed Tomography (CT) Scan, MRI, stereotactic breast biopsy, operating room cysto/urology suite, Digital Mammography with 3-D Tomosynthesis, and the Discovery 360 system.  Additional corporate sponsors for the 2019 LINK Charity events, who will continue this legacy of giving, include United Refining, Alstar EMS, Cummins, Billicki Law, and LeChase Construction.

The community is invited to support LINKS Charity through participation in the Pro-Am golf tournament events, as spectators of the tournament, participants in the raffles, silent and live auctions during the afternoon and evening, and as guests at the celebratory charity dinner following the golf tournament.  There is also a golf clinic with LPGA Professionals and a Shot-Gun Start Scramble on Tuesday July 23 available to the golfing community. In support of UPMC Chautauqua Cancer Care Program, we are offering two selections for purchase a “Barrell of Spirits” and a “Win a Sports Vacation Trip for Two.” Use the following link to purchase tickets for these two giveaways or purchase your tickets in the administrative offices of UPMC Chautauqua.
